Intro to Mass Communications – Resource List
I have chosen to write about social media as the media channel. Social media is so broad so I had to narrow it down to 5 channels which is Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap Chat and YouTube. I have to examine how social media reflects and create culture and society. I have attached the guidelines and rubrics. For this assignment
The Resource List assignment is your first formal foray into the information-gathering and source collection process. Every resource you find does not need to be included in your final submission. However, because this activity will inform Milestone Two (due in Module Four), you should save all of your sources so you have them to choose from and refer back to as your project progresses.
This activity will help you to gather supporting resources for your final project. The more resources you locate here, the less you have to do later on!
You will create a list of at least five resources (a mix of popular and scholarly) in support of your topic. When compiling your list, be sure to utilize the Shapiro Library and to list each resource in APA citation style. Include the DOI or links whenever possible.
You can refer to the following guides or citation management tools to assist you in this process: Shapiro Library Citation Guide, RefWorks, and EasyBib. Here is an example list of resources:

How did you locate your sources and which search engines and tools did you use?
Was this process easy or difficult for you, and why?
Submit as a Word document (no page requirement) with proper APA style citations. Take a good look at the rubrics for both assignments, they are a great way to self-check each assignment before you turn it in to ensure you are meeting or exceeding (!) all requirements.
